Prepare the Clean Boot Environment
1. Click the Start Pearl, in the
Start Search bar, copy and paste "msconfig" (without quotation marks)
and press the Enter key to start System Configuration Utility. If you
are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the
password or provide confirmation.
2. Click the "Services" tab, check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box and click "Disable All" (if it is not gray).
3. Click the "Startup" tab, click "Disable all".
4. Click OK.
Visit the Windows Update site.
Open
Internet Explorer, and click Tools-> Windows Update to install
Windows Update. If any error message or error code was received, please
write and post it onto the forum.
If all the above steps do not
work, I suggest you submit a Windows Update service request to
Microsoft. Unlimited installation and compatibility support is available
at no charge.
