Turn off the Desktop Manager if it is still running

Step 1: Install OS without going through the Desktop Manager

After you download, unzip and install the latest OS for your device to a computer, find and open the App Loader application on the OS folder. The trick, open the file browser, to C Drive (operating system drive) find the folders Program Files> Common Files> Research In Motion> AppLoader.
After entering the AppLoader directory, double click the shortcut application Loader. (If you install the OS rather than the operator you do not forget to delete the file before clicking apploader vendor.xml) After active Loader, click Next and begin Step # 2. We do not use Desktop Manager at this

Step 2:

Now you need to connect your BlackBerry to your computer with a USB cable. Read how both well below before you begin to let your BlackBerry can be nuked detected by the usb cable and connect to the computer. See image below existing Connection: COM1

IMPORTANT: To be detected, unplug your BlackBerry battery and connect the usb cable to your BlackBerry and connect to your computer.

When you connect your BlackBerry to your computer and change their COM1 Connection to USB-PIN: UNKNOWN, you have to directly click NEXT. Now reboot your BlackBerry will not be many more times.

Do not Forget! Pair your BlackBerry battery back after click NEXT because when the OS update is completed, your handheld will disconnects from the computer to reboot and there will be no power supply to your BlackBerry from the USB connection and the error will come back again.

The process must be fast, if you fail the first time, repeated the process again and unplug it from the Blackberry USB Cable / your computer, open the battery and reconnect and click Next at the emerging USB-PIN: Unknown.

If a successful connection you can already begin to install the OS by following the installation wizard that will show how to install the OS as standard.
