Diagnose Damage Modem

Bad modem or modem is damaged it must be ensured and the first test done because of damage caused by the modem is a very, very complex. If indeed the modem is damaged it must be replaced, while for the indication of faulty modems can be categorized as follows:

     Signal greatly affect the modem for online browsing. Reception signal on the cable to the modem which can lead to very weak online modem is not perfect. To reduce this should be checked on the network.
     Re balance the modem must be done even if indications modem is broken, but if it is done re balance browsing conditions are still bad modem then the modem should be substitute.
     Sometimes the modem is not a good indicator or flame flicker modem but the modem is still in good condition and can still be used.
     Blinking modem but can still be used for browsing. Such an indication usually categorized little damage because of the investigation blinking cable modem at certain hours only where Internet traffic is busy.
     The damage is severe categories cable modem that struck by lightning. If the modem is experiencing anything like this just replace the modem.

Some of the above is a small form of a small portion of damage the modem because the modem properties is extremely complex.

Modem is not responding.

If you got message modem is not responding then perform the following steps:

     Check if the modem is lit / ready to use. For external modems can be seen in the light where the two lights on the modem or turn off the modem and then switch on again.
     Check if setting the COM Port your modem is compatible with the COM port your modem.
     Check whether the modem and modem cable is not damaged.
